On behalf of the entire Peter Island team, we say Thank You! The support and kindness we have felt from all of you during this difficult time has been overwhelming and it has warmed our hearts to know how loved we are, not just as a resort, but as a country and destination in the Caribbean.

We do not have a reopen date yet as this will depend on the progress of the BVI government to restore normal operations, the return of staff, and our rebuild. The combination of these factors will be the basis of our eventual reopen date. Until we are confident we can provide you, our valued Peter Island guests, the experience you deserve, we will not be taking reservations for future bookings.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming you once again as a valued guest to Peter Island Resort & Spa in the future.

Off-Island Activities

Leaving Peter Island can be a lot of fun, just as long as you know you’re coming back. If you do choose to venture off island, there’s plenty to do on the surrounding Virgin Isles. Please contact the Island Concierge to schedule the activities below: guestservices@petersland.net or 284-495-2000.

Sail the blue waters of the BVI for a half or full day, a sunset or overnight trip, on our private captained sailboat, The Silmaril. Explore the Caves at Norman Island, the Indians in Tortola or the Baths at Virgin Gorda or take a guided snorkel tour.

Contact Silmaril Captains, Lindsay or Jason for inquiries and to make reservations:  silmarilsailing@yahoo.com.

Sometimes the lush islands, tranquil waters, coral reefs and historic landmarks should be explored as captain of your own adventure on a luxury vessel. Peter Island can arrange luxury yacht charters upon request to suit your specific needs. Whatever you choose, you can count on a good breeze and world-class luxury.

30' center-console boats can be delivered to Peter Island upon request. They are available for day rentals and can include a captain. Contact our concierge for more details.

Explore Tortola for a half or a full day. Visit Sage Mountain, Tortola’s rain forest, the rum distillery, the Craft Market or the island’s North Shore, which is speckled with beautiful coves and beaches.

Fish for grouper, snapper or mahi-mahi, or, on a full-day trip, go to the North Drop, where the record-holding blue marlin was caught. Guests are picked up and dropped off at the Marina at Peter Island. A variety of boats are available, from a center console to a 53’ Viking, and trips can be reserved for a half or a full day.

Fly low over bejeweled azure waters and rocky green cliffs of uninhabited islands to see the British Virgin Islands the way birds do. For arrangement information, please check with our concierge.

Enjoy a half or a full-day trip to fish the flats of the BVI for bonefish and tarpon.

The nearest golf course is nearby St. Thomas’ championship 18-hole course, Mahogany Run. Yes, it does require an early rise, but this stunning and challenging course is well worth it. Guests may charter a boat or helicopter to St. Thomas for tee times. For arrangement information, please check with our concierge.

If you have ever dreamed of swimming with dolphins, Dolphin Discovery on Tortola can make these dreams come true. Our concierge is happy to assist with arrangements.
