Here's a little sample of what they're saying about Peter Island.
The Knot - a well-known magazine and website that provides wedding planning information and tools - included Peter Island Resort and Spa in its list of the top 50 honeymoon destinations. Why go? The Knot says, "Occupied by a single incredible resort, this private, 1,800-square-foot paradise (with quite the who's who guest list) has five snowy-white beaches, 20 secluded coves and mind-blowing snorkeling. On a clear day, you can see all the way to St Croix. High above the Caribbean Sea, the Peter Island Resort’s villas offer some of the most spectacular vistas in the region. The property is set on an 1,800-acre private island (with five beaches) within the British Virgin Islands chain. The resort itself has a mix of villas, beachfront junior suites and ocean view rooms. The villas include views usually reserved for those with wings — and, indeed, they’re all named for birds: the Falcon’s Nest, Hawk’s Nest and Crow’s Nest. Read more
If all you want from your honeymoon is a deserted golden beach, warm sea and a couple of sun loungers, then Honeymoon Beach on Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands is your dream stretch of sand. And guess what? You won't have to share it with a soul as only two guests are allowed on at a time! Read more
Weddings in Houston magazine advised brides looking for privacy to look no further than Peter Island Resort & Spa. Along with enjoying the island's accommodations and dining, the magazine says the best thing to do on Peter Island is "absolutely nothing." Taking a picnic to one of the island's private beaches with a chilled bottle of wine around midday, or spending an afternoon lounging in the spa are also ideal honeymoon activities on Peter Island.
Forbes included Peter Island in its list of the Top 10 Super-Romantic Small Hotels. "Lapping waves, azure water, and private white-sand crescent beaches—including one that can be reserved by just one pair of castaways at a time—hold a lot of the appeal at this long-running Caribbean resort. Adding to it: the magnificent views from the top of the sunset loop, where guests can watch the dying embers of the day, complete with fruit, cheese, and Veuve Clicquot." Read more
Carolina Bride included Peter Island in its recommendations for perfect honeymoon getaways for brides in the Greater Charlotte Area, since the island offers "pampering and plenty of space." Accommodations are limited to only 52 rooms on an island of 1,800 acres, equating to about 10 acres per guest on this fifth-largest island in the BVIs. Along with its inherent privacy and beauty, Carolina Bride noted the romanticism of Peter Island - the absence of parking lots, clamorous poolside games and high rise buildings instantly creates an environment that is out of the ordinary for the new bride and groom's special excursion. The Five Star Alliance helps travelers find and book the ideal luxury hotel, and calls itself the "online travel agency for the world's best hotels." Departures Magazine's January/February issue revolved around the 100 people, places, and things you need to know about right now. Included in that list (at number 65) was Peter Island's Ayurvedic practitioner, Sabaree Santhanam. The magazine included Santhanam on its page about "Who to Call, Head to Toe," proclaiming the island's therapist the person to call when you're in need of a good massage. Or, a massage like no other you have experienced - which is how Departures referred to Santhanam's four-handed, deep-tissue massage, an Abhyanga treatment that dislodges toxins, loosens muscles and calms the mind. Forbes' Ann Abel believes there is a reason the classic Caribbean resorts are classics: They've had years to figure everything out, and their guests appreciate stepping back in time as much as they appreciate stepping in soft sand - since both are a way to slow down and truly escape. Abel found Peter Island Resort & Spa to be one of those places out of time, and points out the island's five separate beaches as its highlight. She describes Peter Island as a popular stop on the sailing circuit, a mecca for divers, and the perfect place to splurge on a private villa. Read more
OK! Magazine visited Peter Island Resort & Spa, following in the footsteps of the many celebrities who have been visiting the British Virgin Islands for its picture-perfect, unspoiled landscapes and privacy. OK! described the British Virgin Islands as a "dreamy archipelago of around 60 islands and cays - of which only 15 are inhabited, with some little more than exposed reefs." The magazine's writers recommended staying at Peter Island for a trip to the BVIs, especially suggesting the hillside villas for a celebrity-like experience. The seclusion of the island - being only accessible by boat or helicopter - and the helicopter pad were aspects of the island OK! thought celebrities would find most appealing. Read more
Luxuria Magazine said, "Words can't express how good and wonderful the view, the white sandy beach and crystal clear water are," but still attempted to capture the natural beauty and essence of the island in this article - mainly focusing on villas. The magazine refers to the Falcon's Nest as "a sensual Barcelona-style villa that carries an amazing vista of Norman Island and St. Croix," and to the Crow's Nest as the perfect place to enjoy "tantalizing views of cliffs that stand below them or the watery blue of sea and Virgin Islands that can be seen 360 degrees." Though this publication found the Hawk's Nest to be the "creme de la creme." Though the Hawk's Nest is the smallest of the villas, Luxuria appreciated the surrounding greenery and view overlooking Deadman's Bay.

The New York Times, a world renowned daily, and 'the' go-to authority on all things travel has featured Peter Island in a Newyorkesque article entitled: Luxury in the Caribbean: 7 Over-the-Top Retreats. Peter Island was thrilled to be included in the Sunday, Travel Section read by more than 13.4 million people world wide. It's no surprise the New York Times reaches that many readers as the newspaper and their reporters are finicky about what and who they feature. They go to great lengths to craft an article that meets the expectations of the millions of readers that can't wait to read this prestigious newspaper. Yes, I'm a fan, as it's one of the most credible 'travel resources' in the world. They don't accept complimentary press trips, nor do they ask for discounts. They visit incognito and research heavily.
We are thrilled the New York Times considers Peter Island one of the top 7 Over-the-Top Retreats in the Caribbean and of course, Peter Island will continue to do our best to meet and exceed this expectation. A big thank you to the New York Times for a fabulous article. Thanks You!

Please note, Conde Nast Traveler states that Peter Island is located on Tortola, when in fact it is the largest private island in the British Virgin Islands with over 1,800 acres. Tortola is a neighboring island and Peter Island does offer trips for guests.

Robb Report Magazine, which touts itself as the global luxury source, which I think we can all agree is a true statement, showcases Peter Island's uber luxurious 20,000 square-foot villa, Falcon's Nest, a villa that sits high above the Caribbean Sea offering guests the best, of the best. Here is the quote from Robb Report article, "The best rooms at the world’s top resorts are not rooms at all, but instead lavish villas, chalets, and even castles that offer everything from theaters to private beaches and spas. Here, we present 20 of our house favorites."
The article featured Falcon's Nest commonly referred to as "the nest" by many who frequest her. "The nest" is a true Oasis for executives looking for a covert meeting base of operations. Celebrities also call it home as they seek a private escape on a private island, in a totally private villa, to relax and enjoy a stay far removed from the paparatzzi. The world has spead, and Peter Island is gaining a reputation as a paparatzzi no-fly zone escape. What? The island can institute a no-fly zone which keeps the camera snapping-paparatzzi at bay via air and land. The island is serious about keeping guest confidentially and never, never kisses and tells. Don't bother asking and yes that means you People Magazine, Star Magazine and more, as we won't tell. When on island do keep your eyes peeled as a celebrity just may be lounging in a hammock near you!
Thanks Rob Report for the great article on Falcon's Nest!
