BEACH BBQ & BUBBLES PARTY, AND CELEBRATORY SAVINGS
Peter Island Resort & Spa in the British Virgin Islands offers an array of culinary festivities during the first week of July including its greatly anticipated, annual BBQ & Bubbles party. BBQ festivities begin at 7pm, Wednesday July 4th on Deadman’s Bay Beach with a delicious BBQ, Veuve Clicquot Champagne provided by Caribbean Cellars and live music. The Certified Angus Beef ® brand brings Chef Govind Armstrong to be Peter Island’s guest chef for the week of festivities to join the culinary teams for a BBQ cook-off contest at the July 4th BBQ feast with a menu that includes local Anegada Lobster, Certified Angus Beef ® Tri-Tip and Certified Angus Beef ® “Denver” Steak, a variety of traditional and exotic BBQ entrees and Caribbean-inspired side-dishes. Guests attending the BBQ will vote on the winning team.

July 4th Culinary Package
In celebration of the July 4th weekend and all the culinary festivities happening
at Peter Island Resort & Spa, Peter Island has created a July 4th Culinary Package.
The package includes three consecutive nights for two guests at meal inclusive plan
rates between July 3rd – July 7th, 2012. This package includes complimentary access
to any of the following culinary events for two guests for a savings of up to 36%.

Wednesday, July 4 – BBQ & Bubbles July 4th Party on Deadman’s Beach (For non-July 4th Culinary Package guests, the BBQ is priced at $80 per person for the BBQ, and an additional $30 for Veuve Clicquot champagne throughout the evening.)
Friday, July 6 - Farm Tour at Paraquite Bay on the island of Tortola followed by a cooking class with Chef Govind Armstrong at the Peter Island’s Crow's Nest Villa for up to 15 people. (For non-July 4th Culinary Package guests, the Farm Tour/Cooking class is $75 per person.)
Saturday, July 7 - Wine
Dinner featuring a menu of fine cuisine prepared by Chef Govind
Armstrong at Peter Island’s Tradewinds restaurant for up to 60
people. For non-July 4th Culinary Package guests, the Wine
dinner is $175 per person.

rates start at $1,830 exclusive of tax for three nights, two people and the
inclusive meal plan. This package cannot be combined with other offers and is

About Chef Govind Armstrong
Chef Govind Armstrong, of Table 8, 8 oz. Burger Bar, and most recently,
Post & Beam
in Los Angeles, CA, is a native of Los Angeles who grew up in Costa Rica.
Continually cultivating his deeply rooted, passionate commitment to
sustainability and locality to further the evolution of California cuisine, he
has made a heralded mark with his Table 8 restaurants in both Los Angeles and
Miami. Armstrong went on to open the 8oz Burger Bar concept, which is being
expanded to several cities nationwide. At age 13, he began his culinary career
working for Chef Wolfgang Puck during his summer vacations. Since then, he has
also worked for Los Angeles culinary luminaries Mark Peel and Nancy Silverton at
Campanile; Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger at City restaurant; and Joachim
Splichal at Patina and Pinot. Armstrong also honed his craft in Spain at Arzak,
